This series tells the story of the peopling of the Pacific, the greatest series of migrations in the history of the human race. The first humans in the Pacific basin came from Africa and lived in the jungles of Southeast Asia and the forests of China. Modern man emerged during the last series of Ice Ages, perhaps 100,000 years ago, and occupied mainland Asia. The series has been made possible by recent exciting discoveries in archaeology and anthropology, through which the shrouded history of the once mysterious East is at last beginning to emerge.
