Because an evil witch has cast a spell on his daughter the Princess Jasna, which forecasts that she will marry a humble shoemaker, the king has imprisoned Jasna in a tower so that she can not meet anyone. However, the witch tricks a shoemaker into making wings and he flies into the castle, meets the Princess Jasna and falls in love with her. Based on a Czech fairytale by JAN DRDA, the film has won the First Award at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, the Premiere Award at the European Children’s Film Festival in Antwerp and the Special Jury Award at the International Festival of Science Fiction Films in Madrid.
